More than 800 beneficiaries were part of our informative workshops on the TULLPA+ improved cookstove project
As part of the project for the implementation of improved wood stoves Tullpa +, more conscious kitchens for our community, Paskay began in Paca, Junín, a series of informative workshops aimed at the beneficiaries and surrounding communities. There were 12 working groups that were installed in the provinces of Jauja and Chupaca.
More than 800 people attended our meeting points to participate in the informative workshops on TULLPA+. The development of these workshops had the purpose of making visible the problems caused by the use of a traditional kitchen (firewood stove) and, therefore, smoke inside homes. Likewise, the importance of an improved kitchen was explained and how its operation will reduce respiratory diseases and the carbon footprint.
Another of the objectives of these workshops is to publicize the main characteristics of the project, as well as to listen to the population in order to achieve a better implementation of this project, which in its first stage will benefit 10,000 families.
It should be remembered that in Cajamarca the workshops will be held in Los Baños del Inca, Llanacora, Namora, Matara and Yonán from October 23 to 27.
More about the project
TULLPA+, more conscious kitchens for our community, is a project to implement environmentally friendly wood-fired kitchens, which seeks to improve the quality of life of families in rural areas of Peru.
By improving traditional kitchens, it reduces respiratory diseases and deforestation due to the use of firewood. In this way, we contribute to curbing the effects of climate change.
