LINES OF WORK

To facilitate responsible investment in forests with the greatest impact in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving the lives of forest users, Paskay has three main lines of work:

Management and implementation of programs and projects to generate AFOLU and REDD+ carbon certificates

Design, advice and support for the establishment of carbon trade agreements AFOLU

Comprehensive development of capacities for generation, certification and transaction of carbon credits AFOLU

SPECIALIZED PRODUCTS

Among the specialized products that we offer in Paskay, we can mention the following:

Environmental and social diagnoses

Public consultation strategies

Feasibility analysis of potential projects

Design of methodologies for REDD projects

Search, evaluation and articulation with projects at different levels of development

Communication strategies for projects and programs

Identification and access to markets (voluntary, compliance and private investors)

Adaptation to the national regulatory framework (nesting, registration, safeguards)

At Paskay we work with the four main verification and validation standards for carbon capture projects and programs that exist globally, such as:

VERRA – Verified Carbon Standard (VCS)

Verra is a world leader in managing standards that help the private sector, countries, and civil society achieve their sustainable development and climate action goals. Projects developed under the VCS Program must follow a rigorous evaluation process in order to be certified by VERRA.

The Climate, Community & Biodiversity Alliance (CCBA)

The Climate, Community and Biodiversity standards (CCB Standards) assess land management projects from the earliest stages of development through implementation. They encourage the integration of best practice and multi-benefit approaches in the design and implementation of projects that simultaneously address climate change, support local communities and small farmers, and conserve biodiversity.

The Architecture for REDD+ Transactions (ART)

ART is a global voluntary initiative that seeks to encourage governments to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation. The REDD+ Standard of Environmental Excellence (TREES) establishes ART’s requirements for the quantification, monitoring and reporting of GHG emissions and removals; demonstration of the implementation of the Cancun Safeguards; and verification, registration and issuance of TREES credits.

Green Climate Fund (GCF)

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is the world’s largest climate fund born out of the Paris Agreement to help developing countries scale up and implement their Determined Contributions ambitions to National Level (NDC) towards low-emission and climate-resilient pathways.
